In prison, Paul, humiliated,
alone, forgotten, dead awaited,
unwelcome, giving life denied:
Precisely he God made our guide.
Impossible what Paul did then –
a miracle to girls and men
afraid of being selves rejected.
In weakness is God’s work perfected.
